Bio3 Research has entered into a strategic alliance with Protelix Inc. (CA/USA) for the development, under Protelix Inc. technological platforms, of Mimic Abs anti-HMGB1 in cardiovascular field (e.g. Arterial Stenosis, Restenosis and Atherosclerotic Plaque progression inhibition).

Mimic-Abs HMGB1-specific have been developed by utilizing ProtElix pioneering technology. This approach may accelerate the development of new therapeutic tools with better tissue penetration, lower production costs and longer shelf-life. Mimic Abs HMGB1 specific optimisation has already been performed and the clone R2F8 has been for further preclinical development for acute treatment. Animal test on the selected Mimic Abs clone is expected to start by 3Q/4Q 2010 in order to verify its activity against HMGB1 in vascular disorders.
