Bio3 Research has entered into a strategic alliance with Protelix Inc. (CA/USA) for the development, under Protelix Inc. technological platforms, of Mimic Abs anti-HMGB1 in cardiovascular field (e.g. Arterial Stenosis, Restenosis and Atherosclerotic Plaque progression inhibition).
Mimic-Abs HMGB1-specific have been developed by utilizing ProtElix pioneering technology. This approach may accelerate the development of new therapeutic tools with better tissue penetration, lower production costs and longer shelf-life. Mimic Abs HMGB1 specific optimisation has already been performed and the clone PEG-R2F8 has been for further preclinical development for chronic treatment. Animal test on the selected Mimic Abs clone is expected to start by 3Q/4Q 2010 in order to verify its activity against HMGB1 in vascular disorders
