BIOCYSAN™ a product based on the use of oral Cysteine  is an antioxidant which use is intended to restore Glutathione (GSH) to appropriate levels in Chronic Kidney Disease stage 5 (CKD5) patients formerly defined as End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patients. CKD5 patients suffer anaemia due to lack of erythropoietin synthesis. Extensive international literature supports the finding that anaemia improves after the administration of antioxidants.

BIOCYSAN™ increases the resistance of erythrocytes, which show shorter half-life as a consequence extracorporeal circulation.
